Fruit Syrup Sauce
This is a sauce always in the refrigerator. It is essentially a thick soup jelly like sauce. In less than 15 minutes you have an all-in-once pancake and waffle sauce. I have been known to freeze it in ice cube trays with Popsicle sticks for a sweet summer treat.

- 2-3 cups blueberries, strawberries, cherries, rhubarb, nectarines or peaches, or any combination of fruit, fresh or frozen.
- 1/4 cup ghee unsalted butter will also work
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup recommended but optional, adjust to taste
- 1/4 cup water adjust to desired consistency
Put the fresh fruit in a small sauce pan over medium to low heat and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. ********* If using frozen fruit put in small sauce pan over medium heat to thaw and let simmer, will take longer about 5-6 minutes. The water from the frozen fruit will thicken and help make the sauce.
Smash with potato masher or use immersion blender to desired consistency. I like to leave some fruit more whole for texture.
Add in ghee, maple syrup, and water. Blend well. Take off heat and serve warm.
